HADES 'Resisting Success' Lineup Jams For First Time Since 1986
February 4, 2010Last weekend the "Resisting Success" lineup of the acclaimed 1980s metal band HADES had its first rehearsal since 1986. Guitarist Dan Lorenzo states, "Jimmy Schulman flew in from L.A. and [guitarist] Scott LePage [who actually played bass on 'Saviorself' and 'The Downside' in 1998 and 2000, respectively] from Dallas. It was the first time we had ever jammed any songs from our second CD, 'If At First You Don't Succeed', with Scott on guitar. Of course Scott nailed it, as he always does." Vocalist Alan Tecchio added, "While jamming with this particular lineup, I have to say that the memories just kept flooding back of times we had together in my first couple of years in the band. Things like the many packed shows we played at The China Club in Hillsdale, NJ and of recording the first CD at Fox Studios in Rutherford... Those were great times and hearing that exact lineup once again was like getting into a time machine and being back there. Great stuff!"
HADES' "Resisting Success" lineup — which includes Lorenzo, Tecchio and drummer T.Coombs — will perform at Germany's Keep It True festival on Saturday, April 24. The band will also play its only U.S. show on April 21 at Dingbatz in Clifton, New Jersey.
